Electromagnetic Flow Transmitter

ID:RT-FU-400
The RT-FU-400 electromagnetic flow transmitter is designed for measuring the volumetric flow rate of conductive liquids in closed pipelines. It features an LCD display and supports mA, pulse, RS485, and HART outputs, capable of displaying instantaneous flow rate, flow velocity, and totalized flow simultaneously. Its measurement principle is based on Faraday’s Law of Electromagnetic Induction. When a conductive fluid flows through the magnetic field generated by the electromagnetic coil, a voltage proportional to the average flow velocity (i.e., volumetric flow rate) is induced. As a result, the fluid being measured must meet a minimum conductivity requirement. The induced voltage signal is detected by electrodes in direct contact with the fluid—both the positive and the grounding electrodes—and transmitted via cable to the microprocessor-based transmitter, where the data is calculated and displayed.

    calculated and displayed.
The RT-FU-400 is available in two types: Inline Type (-A) and Insertion Type (-B).
The insertion-type electromagnetic flow sensor primarily consists of the following components:
    • Probe Rod: Designed to insert the sensor head into the pipeline; typically built with strength and corrosion resistance.
    • Sensor Head: Contains the electromagnetic coil and electrodes used to generate the magnetic field and detect the induced voltage.
    • Mounting Assembly: Includes a mounting base, ball valve, or other sealing components to secure the probe to the
pipeline while ensuring airtightness. The Quiksaf design allows for pressurized installation and maintenance
    without system shutdown.
